Gerard Butler attends the 17th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Academy Award Viewing Party held at the Pacific Design Center on Sunday (February 22) in Hollywood.

The same evening, the 39-year-old Scottish stud hit up the 2009 Vanity Fair Oscar Party hosted by VF editor Graydon Carter held at the Sunset Tower in West Hollywood.

Gerry arrived late to the bash, telling E!, “I want to sing at the Oscars. I just don’t think they’d have me.”

300 star Gerard Butler heads over for some fashion fun outside The Tents during the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Fall 2009 Collections in Bryant Park, New York City on Monday (February 16). The 39-year-old Scottish actor has reportedly been bonding with Indian actress Priyanka Chopra. The pair apparently met at the inauguration of The Atlantic, The Palm at the end of last year and have stayed in touch since then. Priyanka’s spokesperson said, “Priyanka and Gerard hit it off really well in Dubai and have maintained their friendship ever since.” Priyanka is former Miss World, winning the crown in 2000.

Gerard Butler heats up the red carpet at The Art of Elysium’s second annual Heaven Gala held at converted cathedral The Vibiana in Los Angeles on Saturday (January 11).

The black tie charity gala included dinner, music, a fashion show and special honors for Eva Mendes. The Art of Elysium encourages actors, artists and musicians to share their time and talent at artistic workshops with hospitalized children on a regular basis.

Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl keep close in this new movie still from their upcoming rom-com The Ugly Truth, out April 3.

Plot details: A romantically challenged morning-show producer (Heigl) is reluctantly embroiled in a series of outrageous tests by her male chauvinist correspondent (Butler) to prove his theories on relationships and allow her to find love. His clever ploys, however lead to an unexpected result.

”They embark on this ridiculous pairing of two people who are from polar opposite sides of the issue,” Heigl tells EW. ”The whole men are from Mars, women are from Venus thing… [In comparison to my last romantic comedy,] it’s not so soft, and everything isn’t so perfect. This movie was just a little more edgy…enough to make it at least more interesting to the guys who take their girlfriends.”

The Ugly Truth is directed by Robert Luketic (Legally Blonde). The trailer is available at the official movie site at TheUglyTruth-Movie.com.

Gerry Butler appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on October 6, 2008 looking fit and adsolutely gorgeous. He was there to promote his latest film, RocknRolla. Set in London, the movie centers around a real-estate scam that puts millions of pounds up for grabs, naturally attracting the attention of some of the city's scrappiest tough guys (Butler, Elba), its more established underworld players (Wilkinson), and others -- all of whom are looking to get rich quick.

RocknRolla opens in select cities on October 8th and is due for wider release on October 31st. The film stars Gerard Butler, Thandie Newton, Idris Elba, Tom Wilkinson, Toby Kebbell, Chris Bridges (aka, Ludicris), and Jeremy Piven. Written and directed by Guy Ritchie.
